2011 Competition: Calendario delle prove - Performance Calendar

Gentili concorrenti,

come ben sapete le iscrizioni si sono chiuse da pochissimi giorni.

Musicisti da tutto il mondo saranno presenti al XXIII European Music Competition di Moncalieri. A breve sarà pubblicato l'elenco dei componenti della giuria presieduta, quest'anno dal M° Marcello Abbado.

L'organizzazione del Concorso ha appena terminato di redigere il calendario delle audizioni, che abbiamo il piacere di pubblicare. (scarica .pdf)

Il giorno 5 dicembre non si svolgeranno prove ufficiali; la sala è riservata a chi volesse provare il pianoforte e l'acustica.

Saranno inoltre a disposizione per tutta la settimana altri 3 pianoforti: 2 presso il Castello sede per le prove ed un altro per coloro che decidessero di alloggiare presso l'hotel ABA (vedi link hotel).

Importante: sarà fatto un appello dei presenti all'ora d'inizio di ciascuna categoria. Prima, però, presentarsi in segreteria muniti di documento d'identità per la registrazione. Si prega di arrivare con la massima puntualità!!

Dear Friends,

as you may know, the inscription period has been closed few days ago.

Musicians from all over the world will be present at the 23rd European Music Competition of Moncalieri.

As soon as we can we'll publish the list of members of the jury, chaired this year by M° Marcello Abbado.

The organizers of the competition have just drawn the performances calendar, that we are glad to publish. (download .pdf)
December 5th will not be held any official performances; the stage is available for those who want to rehearsal the piano and the acoustic of the hall.

There will also be available during the whole week 3 more pianos : 2 of them in the same location of the competition (Castle of Moncalieri) and another one available for those who decide to stay at the hotel ABA (see link hotel).

Remeber: a roll-call will be made at the time indicated for each category. Before, however, check-in at the organization office (bring your passport or ID). Please, be punctual!

Are you a young musician between up to 35 years old? If so, you have until November 7, 2011 to complete your online registration form. The competition is open to almost all musical instruments.

Once again this year, we have come to an agreement with two hotels in Moncalieri:

the Hotel ABA that can provide accomodation for applicants at special fares.

2010 Competition: How to get to Moncalieri

The competition take place here: Giacomo Matteotti Theater in Moncalieri

Planes, trains, automobiles will all get you to Moncalieri: the trick is knowing which one is right for you. Here's how to get from here to there.

Train - The main railway station is Torino Porta Nuova: you can reach it from all Italian cities and other important European cities. Check trains timetables and buy online your ticket at Bahn.com or Trenitalia.com.
When you arrive at Porta Nuova Station, take the bus 67 (every 10 minutes) to Moncalieri.

Planes - Many carriers offer service from important European cities to Turin Airport (Aeroport di Torino, code TRN). Once on the ground, here's how to get into town:
Take the train from Airport railway station to Dora railway station. Here take the tramway 4 to Torino Porta Nuova then the bus 67 to Moncalieri (see above).

Car: Italian Motorways A4 , A21, A6, A32, A5 lead to Moncalieri.

La Commissione Giudicatrice ha deciso di assegnare alla pianista Yoon Hae Sung e al Quartetto di clarinetti formato da Lorenzo Del Pecchia, Emanuele Gaggini, Filippo Valbonetti e Mirko Zingoni i due concerti premio offerti dal Circolo Culturale Saturnio, che si terranno a Moncalieri nella stagione Musicale 2009-10.

2009 Competition: Official Schedule

The official schedule (dates and time of performances) is now available here.
Candidates must be in the hall at least 15 minutes before the time set for their category.
They must present to the jury an ID Document and a copy of the scores of ther performance.

Le date e gli orari delle prove sono disponibili a quest'indirizzo. I concorrenti dovranno presentarsi almeno 15 minuti prima dell'ora d'inizio stabilita per la categoria. Dovranno presentarsi muniti di documento d'identità e una copia di spartiti per la giuria.
